If you’ve been here before, you will notice the design has changed pretty drastically since a few days ago. There’s a reason for it.

  1. Pressgram came out and I see a lot of potential for it to help me provide more value to you as a reader about the world of personal branding. So I adapted the layout to accommodate larger images and have them front and center. Among other things Pressgram can do, I hope help spread the word about it so that more people are able to own their photos.
  2. The world of responsive design came to a abrupt halt for me the other day. I read an article about it and how media queries (which is a lot of responsive design uses) can very quickly cause sites to load significantly slower on mobile phones and tablets because of the fact that there is actually more code to do less. I’m not refuting responsive at this time, but I wanted to remove mine from that framework for the time being. You can read the article here if you wish.
  3. Lastly, I have long been wanting to go much more simple with my layout. I want it to be about the content and not about what I’m promoting. I want this site to be a resource for you that’s easy to navigate and simple to share with others. So, I’ve created one layout to rule them all (all being all devices mobile and otherwise). The layout I have here is very same that shows up on your tablet or phone. It scales down for them but is still very readable and it brings the content front and center.

So with that, I want to invite you to join me as I redesign on the fly. You will see changes pop up from time to time and one day may be quite different from the next. You may even find some broken pages or layouts here and there.

The best place to be is on my weekly branding newsletter but you can also jump on my rss email if you’d like. Thanks and I look forward to serving you better in the coming weeks and months.
