Churches are lacking a vital piece of communication in today’s world. We are lacking proper use of the internet and what it has to offer in terms of reaching the lost and supporting believers. That is why I say we need to legitimize digital ministry now!
If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have told me faster horses. – Henry Ford
There was a time…
Back when the telephone was invented, people said it wasn’t needed because telegrams worked just fine. They said it was fad. Back when the computer was invented, people said there was space for about 5 in the entire world. More like 5 per house. And when the internet was invented, people said it was fad that would never stick around. Clearly…
There was also a time not too long ago that people said social media was a fad. I’m just not buying that. Today, more than 90% of millennials use social media on a daily basis. More than 72 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube every minute. And the fastest growing user age on social media is 65+. Now maybe we can begin to imagine the impact a digital ministry can have on church growth and spreading the Gospel.
Your Digital Ministry
If you are still in the mindset of “build it and they will come,” you are seriously outdated. We are living in a time where people do more research than ever in the palm of their hand and comments/recommendations from friends are more valuable than any marketing gimmick. This is why we need to be legitimately building an active online community around our churches and the Word of God.
I encourage you look around on this site and see how I can help you build your digital ministry platform. You can find more about social media, web design or outreach programs. Thanks for your time and I look forward to serving the Lord with you!
